He and Phillip never reconnected to get over their issues, so guilt also weighed Flip down in the Dream World. ![]() The trauma got worse when Peter's wife died, and he holed up on an island alone to raise Nemo. As such, Phillip mourned, burying Flip deep down, which is why the persona got lost in the Dream World - all due to repression. He begged his brother to stay, but Peter had to start a family.
